Question 1

What is a hydrophobic wiper blade?

Accepted Answer

A hydrophobic wiper blade is infused with a water-repellent silicone coating that transfers to the windscreen during normal use. The coating causes water to bead and roll off the glass, improving visibility in rain even between wiper sweeps. TRAPO hydrophobic wipers refresh the coating each time they wipe.

Question 2

How long does the hydrophobic coating last?

Accepted Answer

TRAPO hydrophobic wiper blades continuously transfer coating onto the windscreen during use, so the effect lasts as long as the blade does — typically 12–18 months under Malaysian weather conditions. There is no separate coating to reapply.

Question 3

What sizes are TRAPO hydrophobic wipers available in?

Accepted Answer

TRAPO hydrophobic wiper blades are available in standard sizes from 14" to 28" in 2" increments, covering the vast majority of passenger vehicles in Malaysia. Use the vehicle search at /collections/trapo-hydrophobic-wiper-blade to find the correct size pair for your make and model.

Question 4

How do I install TRAPO wiper blades?

Accepted Answer

TRAPO wiper blades use a universal multi-adapter system that fits J-hook, push-button, side-pin, and pin-lock attachments. Lift the wiper arm, press the release tab, slide off the old blade, click the TRAPO blade onto the same adapter, and lower the arm. Installation typically takes under 2 minutes per blade.

Question 5

Do TRAPO hydrophobic wipers fit my car?

Accepted Answer

TRAPO hydrophobic wipers are tagged with verified vehicle fitment for 12,000+ Malaysian car models. Search by brand, model, and year at /collections/trapo-hydrophobic-wiper-blade to see only the wipers that fit your vehicle.

Question 6

What is the warranty on TRAPO wiper blades?

Accepted Answer

TRAPO hydrophobic wiper blades include a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects (delamination, frame failure, adapter breakage). Claims can be submitted at /pages/warranty-form. Wear from normal use is not covered.
